The Plantsmen Nursery has an opening on our landscape maintenance crew. This crew focuses on custom care for our clients' gardens. We do not mow lawns--if that is what you are looking for, this is not the right job. If you like hard work, working with your hands, and being outside, then this may be the right job for you!
We do quality hand work--weeding, pruning, edging beds, raking, moving mulch in wheelbarrows...all custom work and some of it is heavy. The same crew also does planting projects and helps out occasionally on other types of landscape jobs, but the main focus is quality maintenance and planting.
If you have some landscape or gardening experience, that is a plus and we want to hear from you. If you don't, but have other crew experience, or a work background that prepares you for this kind of work, we want to hear from you. If you are inexperienced, but like hard work, have an interest in learning about landscaping, and are able to keep moving while learning, we want to hear from you!
Must be reasonably strong and in good physical condition to keep up with the work.
Must have a team attitude and be a positive person willing to take direction.
Must provide a couple of work references that we will check.
Drama, bad attitude or excuses are all deal breakers for us.
We are a close group of co-workers, with several employees on The Plantsmen Staff for over 10 years. 401K with employer matching available, health insurance available, plus other benefits as well for established employees.
