Nepeta spp. - Catmint

The largest catmint we have seen for use in the landscape here in our region, this one reaches 3' or more, and spreads about equally wide. Like most nepeta, this one has purple flowers in loose wand-like spikes, is drought-tolerant, and thrives on calculated neglect. In short, plant this one where you don't expect to be gardening much, and just let it do its thing. Great with ornamental grasses. And, it's deer proof!
